We are looking for the Director of IT & Project Delivery for one of our clients

You will be responsible for both the strategic leadership of internal technology systems and the successful execution of cross-functional client and internal IT projects. This role blends technical oversight, project and change management excellence, and Team leadership, ensuring that IT initiatives and project portfolios align with the broader business goals. This person will serve as the bridge between the IT infrastructure, application development, and strategic project execution, while fostering collaboration across departments and ensuring stakeholder confidence and satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Strategy & Technical Oversight

• Define and implement an IT vision that is aligned with business priorities.

• Lead application development or deployment initiatives and internal tool enhancements.

• Manage external IT vendors, MSPs, and software contractors in a strategic partnership model.

• Oversee and create strategic relationships with trusted vendors in IT on application development, information governance, and system reliability.

• Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and training to support end users and company-wide adoption

Project & Portfolio Management

• Lead internal and external project delivery, ensuring scope, budget, and timeline goals.

• Apply project management methodologies (Agile, PMI, etc.) tailored to business needs.

• Maintain visibility into active project pipelines and resource planning.

• Provide regular updates to executive leadership on project health, blockers, and opportunities.

• Coordinate external and internal stakeholder input to generate a clear, business-driven scope and facilitate risk-based decision-making.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and develop a high-performing IT and project management team of internal and external resources working in an efficient and effective process.

• Lead productive meetings and drive stakeholder engagement across departments.

• Model leadership behaviors: proactive communication, planning, strategic thinking, and accountability.

• Foster a collaborative, results-driven team culture.

Communication & Reporting

• Communicate with clarity in both technical and executive contexts.

• Prepare high-level summaries of key initiatives for board or leadership presentation.

• Bring IDS (Identify–Discuss–Solve) topics to EOS leadership meetings when cross-functional input is needed.

Job requirements

PREFERRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & CERTIFICATIONS

Technical Stack Familiarity:

o Microsoft Office 365 & Teams

o SharePoint & OneDrive

o SQL / MS Access / VBA

o Power Platform (Apps, BI, Pages, etc)

o Project management platforms (Monday.com, Planner, Jira, etc.)

o Azure, Windows Server, VMware

• Preferred Certifications:

o PMP (Project Management Professional)

o ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)

o CompTIA Project+ or Network+

o Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or MCSA

o MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist)

o Database design or administration certifications (SQL Server, Access, etc.)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent

experience)

• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role overseeing IT and/or complex project delivery

• Strong background managing vendors, contractors, and internal resources

• Experience in a small-to-mid-sized business environment preferred
